Talking Tough Topics

It’s called Talking Tough Topics and will take place Monday May 27th, 2013 at 6:30pm. Registration is online at www.TalkingToughTopics.com.

We live in a rapidly changing world & the risks that our kids face are different than in the past. The purpose of this event is to educate parents, grandparents, teachers and caregivers about the new risks that kids face, including The Choking Game, Internet Safety, Cyber Bullying, etc, and empower them to bring these tough topics to light. Stats say that 45% of children between the ages of 6-17 know someone who is engaging in the dangerous, potentially fatal “Choking Game” (or are doing it themselves). The scariest part is that over 90% of parents don’t even know it exists! Kids think it’s a game that has no risks but they are dying from it, including several local kids most recently Aja Chandler. This information has the potential to save lives. You will leave feeling informed and empowered to connect with your children and help them stay safe.
