A message from Tim Lee, on behalf of the REALTORS Care™ Foundation:
We are pleased to announce that, following a request from the Thunder Bay Real Estate Board we were able to offer our support to their community following disastrous floods and a subsequent declaration of emergency by the provincial government.
An amount of $10,000 was sent to the Salvation Army which had been selected by the Thunder Bay Board as the shelter related charity that was compliant with the Foundations “shelter” definition and eligible to receive the donation.
It is at times like this that the benefit of having a source of funds that go beyond the day to day fundraising efforts and requirements of our communities is most evident. While the Foundation got to cut the cheque, we are most proud that the source of the grant came from the combined efforts of our entire membership.
Heartfelt thanks to all of you for helping to give hope and encouragement to one of our communities facing extraordinary hardship and challenge.
