Further to the Special Meeting, we have made some progress with positioning WECAR for the transition to the new system and wanted to bring you up-to-date:
The mobile app and call centre have been negotiated into the new system price, pro bono, which typically would be an additional fee of approximately $1.95 per member, per month.
A three-way agreement between the other two Boards has been drafted which is currently being reviewed by legal. WECAR has received the contract from CoreLogic which was also reviewed by legal and we anticipate signing within the next week. As it stands, we are still on track for implementation in the first quarter of 2018!
We have had several meetings with CKREB and SLREB which resulted in us drafting new data entry forms which will include additional fields and options – allowing our Members more flexibility to better meet your Client’s needs. Additionally, it will smooth the transition of data between the three boards, and allow for SLREB and CKREB to amalgamate their data into our system layout and forms more seamlessly.
We anticipate the MLS® Rules & Regulations/Standard Forms Task Force will be reviewing the final draft forms sometime near the end of August.
The next stage of development is to coordinate with the Project Manager from CoreLogic for the data entry portion of the system, following which we will begin to work with the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) for the necessary coding required for REALTOR.ca.
Please note we are doing everything we can to expedite the process so we are well prepared and ahead of the curve every step of the way. This will make the transition faster and smoother for our Members, as well as Chatham and Sarnia.
