MLS® SYSTEM UPDATE & TIMELINE

As you are aware WECAR is in the process of creating an MLS® System with CoreLogic on their Matrix Platform.  WECAR has been working diligently with CoreLogic to create this exciting NEW MLS® SYSTEM for our Members and will continue over the holidays to ensure we are ahead of the curve.

What you may not know is…

  • That this will be a mini-regional MLS® System between WECAR, Chatham-Kent Association of REALTORS® (CKAR), and Sarnia-Lambton Real Estate Board (SLREB). This means that there will be no Interboarding between the three Boards, it will just be within ONE MLS® System. You can easily view and list in their areas, and vice versa.
  • Our current MLS® Data Input Forms are being reworked. The revised forms will include additional options/fields required for CKAR & SLREB Members, and will also code more easily to REALTOR.ca to help alleviate discrepancies between the two data sets. This will help increase professionalism by offering better searching options within our MLS® System and more complete public listings, etc.

CoreLogic has provided the following schedule with focusing on getting WECAR’s data mapped/loaded into Matrix, followed by CKAR & SLREB while we continue building/configuring Matrix.

Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent Sarnia Lambton
Staff and Peer Review (w/o Input) Starts Feb 13th Feb 13th Feb 13th
Membership Review & Training  Starts March 20th April 10th April 17th
Input Review  Starts March 20th March 20th March 20th
Cutover/Standalone April 17th & 18th May 8th & 9th May 15 & 16th

The difference in the dates for Membership Review and Cutover reflect the time it will take for CoreLogic to map/load CKAR and SLREB’s ListCENTRAL data into Matrix.

Since we will be anticipating the full roll-out for WECAR Members by April 17th & 18th in order to stay on track with this timeline and to help properly prepare our Members, we will be circulating newsletters with information about training dates (when they become available), about tips & tricks, transitions procedures, and what you need to know to be prepared.
